Title: Assistant Art Technical Director 
Reporting to: Art Technical Director
 
Job Summary:
Duties:
  • Develops new techniques and processes to solve visual effect production challenges;
  • Innovates and solves art technical issues for tool development used in game production, in order to improve work processes;
  • Works efficiently with programming staff while representing the art;
  • Researches with an eye towards visual and technical innovation in dealing with process and pipeline creation;
  • Documents processes and procedures thoroughly;
  • Pushes and/or defines hardware and art limitations for the project;
  • Works closely with the technical director, debug and evaluate new tools;
  • Interacts and communicates effectively with management on both a project and studio level.

Profile  Essential
 
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3 to 5 years experience as a 3D artist real time (Level Artist, Model Artist, Texturer, Assistant Art Technical Director). 
Technical Skills
  • Support and troubleshoot in the gaming developmentfor : Maya (Mel Script); Engine (CDC) & Game GUI (Engine GUI);
  • Strong knowledge of positions related to game production;
  • Working knowledge of hardware platform limitations;
  • Knowledge of design softwares in 2D and 3D;
  • Knowledge of a database system (ex : Perforce, VSS, Alienbrain);
  • Knowledge of a Script language.
