Quality assurance has a special status at
EIDOS-MONTREAL. To us, QA is an integral
part of the development process, not an add-on - and
certainly not an afterthought.
At
EIDOS-MONTREAL, QA means, among other
things:
- Assisting production teams throughout the development
process
- Striving to pass certification & submission
process first time, every time
- Ensuring the accuracy of feedback and reports
throughout the testing process
- Being ready to meet the challenges of testing a title
for any territory worldwide

Our goal is to ramp QA up to 100 employees by
2009, testing games for Eidos Group worldwide, developing a
culture that embodies constant improvement. For example,
although we do use a highly rational and systematic
methodology, we don't care to lock ourselves into it.
We also test games from a highly creative - i.e.
"entropic" - point of view, letting our brightest
professionals throw around all sorts of bizarre, off-the wall
ideas, sometimes simply fooling around with the games we
develop.
Why? Because we know that what happens in real life is
often quite remote from the game testing lab environment, and
our mission is to develop truly fool-proof products. |
