Title: Sound Programmer  
Reporting to: Lead Programmer
 
Job Summary:
Duties:
  • Contribute to the development of the sound engine
  • Interact with programming clients and artists to provide or support the effective integration of their code
  • Work closely with Sound Designers
  • Work effectively with other members of the programming team, and with members of the development team
  • Plan work effectively and provide honest updates on the progression
  • Apply rigorous methods of design and programming.

Profile  Essential
 
Experience and Qualifications
  • University degree in programming, software engineering, computer engineering or equivalent
  • Jr Sound Programmer: 1-3 years experience as a programmer in the industry
  • Intermediate Sound Programmer : 3-5 years experience as a programmer in the industry
  • Sr Sound Programmer: 5+ years experience as a programmer in the industry
  • Minimum of one published title – at least 1 with Sound Programming experience.
     
Technical Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of C++ is mandatory
  • Experience in multiplatform development is an asset.
     
Interpersonal Skills
  • Time managing skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A desire to push back the technological barriers in video games is required
  • The maturity to give and receive constructive criticism is expected
  • Good communication skills.
