General Manager

A seasoned manager, Stéphane D'Astous has been active in the technology sector since the early 90's. His management skills have contributed to the growth of many a company, and he has quickly made a name for himself thanks to his expertise in strategic and operational management, recruitment and mentoring.

After launching his career as project manager in the aeronautics industry, working for companies such as Bombardier and CAE, Stéphane combined work and a passion for video games by holding senior positions in Montreal video game companies. As the director of operations for Ubisoft Montreal, he skillfully managed the company's rapid growth, from 450 to 1,450 employees in three years. Stéphane then became Chief Executive Officer at Babel Games Services, a major gaming industry subcontractor, before Eidos selected him to launch and manage their new North American Studio. 

A born Montrealer, Stéphane graduated from the University of Montreal in Industrial Design and holds a Master's degree in Business Management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales, as well as a Certificate in Project Management from the Project Management Institute.  He is the proud father of three teenagers, Tamara, Antoine and Vincent, with whom he shares his passion for video games.

Finance & Administration Manager

Prior to joining EIDOS-MONTREAL, Chantal spent over ten years in small and medium-sized companies, overseeing financial activities and participating in three successful company restructurations.  She then worked for two major aerospace companies for nine years, where she acquired valuable experience as the senior financial representative of a team of business experts whose mission was to build solid business cases for joint-ventures and who successfully launched a new Board-approved aircraft program.

Chantal, who holds a bachelor's degree in finance/accounting from University of Montreal - H.E.C., oversees all financial and administrative activities at EIDOS-MONTREAL, including project accounting, benchmarking and government incentive programs.

Human Resources Manager

Before EIDOS-MONTREAL, Isabelle worked during 12 years as a general Human Resources practitioner for a number of major corporations in the Montreal area, mostly in the telecommunication and information technology sectors. 

Isabelle leverages her diversified experience to make sure the EIDOS-MONTREAL team is fully supported by a productive and enriching work environment. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal.

IT Manager

Prior to joining the EIDOS-MONTREAL team, Patrick spent nearly 10 years with Ubisoft Montreal, where he participated in the explosive growth of the company. Originally responsible for technical support services, he was eventually promoted Manager of the company's global network management team.

Today, Patrick and his team see to it that everyone at EIDOS MONTREAL has what they need in terms of information technologies, including the best possible infrastructure and impeccable technical support, so that the Studio can achieve its highest goals. Born on Quebec's Gaspé coast, Patrick graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Collège de Gaspésie et des Îles, and he holds many Microsoft certifications.

Producer

David began his career as project leader for a research centre in the European car industry, where he signed three European patents and one world patent in six years. Upon his arrival in Quebec, he became project leader at Mega Brands (previously Megabloks) before joining Ubisoft Montreal, first as project coordinator, then as closer, associate producer and producer. After four years, David decided to take on new challenges and joined Stéphane D'Astous to set up EIDOS-MONTREAL.

With 12 years' experience in management and more than 70 projects to his credit, David is the producer of the very first game to be developed by EIDOS-MONTREAL. His responsibilities involve managing the budgets and the planning, recruiting production experts, and directing and supporting a team made up of 80 talented people.

QA Manager

Ian started out in the games industry in 2000, working at The (legendary) Bitmap Brothers, where he acquired a unique understanding of the game development process and the developer/publisher relationship, gaining first-hand insights of the challenges small Developers face.  After joining SCi Games in 2001, Ian enjoyed unprecedented advancement, quickly moving up to positions of management and responsibility.

Still an integral part of the QA regime in the SCi Group, Ian leverages his management skills to build and develop QA groups that are dedicated, highly productive, and self sufficient.  Keenly focussed on maximizing productivity within a QA environment, Ian, who studied Engineering Science & Technology at Brunel University, continuously investigates and exploits new technologies, constantly striving to improve the QA process.  Born in England, he has benefitted from living in various countries and finds the new challenge of Quebec culture enthralling.
