Description

Duties

Manage the hosting infrastructure across development, staging and production environments;

Installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining and monitoring Linux systems;

Supporting developers;

Helping the Online Publishing team with content updates, troubleshooting and other tasks;

Scripting and automation of work;

Documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

5 years of experience in Linux system administration;

Experience in network & system security (risks and best practices);

Web development experience is an asset.

Technical Skills

Solid Linux Knowledge with experience in load-balanced web servers like Ubuntu & CentOS, but in-depth experience with another distribution is an asset;

Strong knowledge of Apache/Nginx/MySQL/MongoDB administration & tuning;

Knowledge of virtualisation technologies with shared storage solutions, public and private cloud management;

Ability with Scripting and automation;

Knowledge of web development languages: HTML, PHP & Javascript an asset.

Interpersonal Skills

Passion for technology;

Ability to clearly document work and follow documents/procedures;

Good communication skills.
