REPORTS TO: Service Desk Manager

 

The Computer Support Technician ensures the smooth running of the user environment of our Montreal studios and is committed to providing our employees with an exceptional IT service. In order to improve the overall user experience, the individual has a keen interest in continuous improvement of IT services and technology.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer NTFS user accounts and file permissions (access)
  • Monitor and resolve incidents and queries in an efficient manner
  • Diagnose and solve all problems (software, hardware and network)
  • Provide support and maintenance of conference rooms
  • Maintain and manage computer equipment, game consoles and audio-visual equipment
  • Writing of technical documentation (Confluence)
  • Manage certain management consoles (ex. antivirus, disk encryptions)
  • Performs the assembly and disassembly of any equipment with computer and audio-visual connections
  • Inform the company of upcoming changes, maintenances and / or other significant situations
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies towards users

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College IT degree or the equivalent
  • Bilingualism: French & English (spoken & written)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Technician
  • Knowledge of ITIL

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Excellent knowledge of operating systems such as Windows 7, 10 and Linux
  • In-depth experience with the Microsoft Office suite (2013/2016)
  • Knowledge of MS O365
  • Atlassian framework knowledge
  • Management and administration of AD, Microsoft Exchange and Azure accounts
  • In-depth technical experience for installing and repairing workstations
  • Experience working with a ticketing system
  • Knowledge of mobile phones
  • Experience with video game equipment (PCs and all types of consoles)
