CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO)
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF STUDIO

 

CONTEXT:

Eidos-Montreal is a Canadian Video Game development studio, founded by Eidos Interactive in 2007 and based in Montreal. Previously a subsidiary of Square Enix, the studio has been acquired by Embracer Group in the spring of 2022.
In this context, Eidos-Montréal is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who, as a member of the Executive team, will act as a catalyst to optimize and implement the Studio's business vision, aligned with industry trends and best practices.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate with our Head of Studio in the definition and implementation of strategic plans related to the growth and evolution of Eidos-Montreal;
  • Define overall performance objectives and ensure the productivity and profitability of the Studio;
  • Ensure that the initiatives of the various programs are in line with the values and culture of the Studio;
  • Innovate and propose solutions to organizational issues;
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Studio and provide strong leadership to the production teams to encourage initiatives and allow everyone to grow, while fostering an inclusive culture;
  • Understand the reality of the production teams and make appropriate operational decisions;
  • Deploy the various operational procedures and ensure their effective deployment;
  • Ensure compliance with contractual commitments in terms of quality, costs and deadlines in order to meet project needs;
  • Maintain a high level of quality and safety while respecting the environment in the daily operations.

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Chief Operating Officer and/or in a similar role at the organizational level;
  • Proven strategic planning and business development skills;
  • Hands-on knowledge of data analysis and performance/operational metrics;
  • Advanced organizational leadership skills;
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills;
  • Change management skills;
  • Decision making and problem solving skills.

 

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions;
  • Experience in the Video Game industry.
