PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR

REPORTS TO: SENIOR PRODUCER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In collaboration with the different technical experts of the project and the organization, be the master of the implementation of the vision and the technical architecture of the project while ensuring its sustainability and development;
  • Work in collaboration with the other Directors to determine what are the technological needs of the project according to the existing constraints and deadlines;
  • Promote good practices in CICD within the project and the organization;
  • Assess the risks and implement the necessary contingency and mitigation plans;
  • Ensure the scheduling and prioritization of the work to be done according to the various milestones of the project;
  • Participate in the hiring process for the Programming team;
  • Supervise and coach the different Programming team leaders within the project;
  • Participate in the performance evaluation of the Programming team members.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field;
  • 10+ years of Programming experience in the Video Game industry, including at least 5 as Lead Programmer;
  • Excellent technological knowledge of the different gaming platforms;
  • Experience in project planning and management;
  • Experience in developing cross-platforms;
  • Strong skills in Object-Oriented Design (OOD);
  • Good knowledge of Unreal;
  • French-English bilingualism.
