A brand-new program in “Video Games Testing” is starting in January 2023 at the Professional Development School of the Séminaire de Sherbrooke, in partnership with our studio.
This Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) is an exclusive online training in Quebec, which allows students to develop the technical skills sought in video games. The above all practical approach promotes concrete learning rooted in the current reality of the video game market. The training ensures that the student knows the tools and techniques required to become a competent video game tester to hold a quality job within specialized companies in the province.
To learn more about this training, we asked a few questions to Claude Cardinal, our Director – Professional Talent Development, who contributed to this partnership.
- How did this partnership with the Séminaire de Sherbrooke come about?
It was born from the will of three people: Rémi Robert, Head of the Professional Development School, Emmanuel-Yvan Ofoé, our QA Director and me! It is the result of a deep desire to offer useful training and to have the Quality Assurance profession recognized in the industry.
- Who is it for?
It is aimed at students who are passionate about video games and who are looking to improve their skills, improve their employability or who are reorienting their careers.
- We feel that this project is close to your heart, why is that?
This project is above all for others, for students – if through our knowledge, we can have a small impact on the professional life of a single person, then we can say “mission accomplished”. A college education represents an enhancement of Quality Assurance; with better testers, we make better games!
