Someone has finally heard of the Guardians of the Galaxy! Too bad he’s not one of the good guys. Star-Lord and his crew meet with Grand Unifier Raker, a cybernetically-enhanced zealot who knows how to make an entrance. Although menacing, he doesn’t seem interested in hurting our Guardians (for now), despite Rocket firing at him. Instead, he greets them and wants to introduce them to the Matriarch… Also, what’s up with the whole “Seeking truth” thing?
Grand Unifier Raker is none other than the founder and leader of the Universal Church of Truth. If you think this sounds shady and cult-like, you’re right: this organisation is roaming the galaxy, intent on bringing their “Promise” to everyone – and things probably don’t go too well for those who refuse.
